Miracle Baby: Riley Wagner



Riley Wagner, born on October 9, 2012, three months premature.  During the pregnancy, Riley’s heart was not strong enough to start pumping blood back to the placenta resulting in fetal demise. The condition put both Riley and his mother, Regina Wagner’s lives at risk. The decision was made to delivery Riley via emergency caesarean section.

Due to a premature delivery, Riley Wagner’s lungs were under developed. 
The use of monitors helps to ensure that Riley receives enough oxygen.

Riley Wagner receives breathing treatments daily to ensure his lungs remain healthy.



A monitor attached to Riley Wagner’s foot measures the oxygen flowing through the arteries in his body.



Bayada Pediatrics nurse, identified as Andrea, provides in-home care for Riley Wagner.


Riley Wagner will continue to need the assistance of oxygen until he is around one year old.



After RileyWagner developed stronger muscles, he is able to sit up by himself at 26 weeks old.
